Tuli & Mashatu Game Reserves are located in the eastern corner of Botswana adjoining the Limpopo & Sashi Rivers with Zimbabwe & South Africa as neighbours. African Bundu Safaris offers safari and wildlife photographers, 3 lodges to stay at in the Mashatu and Tuli Game Reserves for their wildlife vacation to Botswana. Visitors to Tuli Reserve can drive from Johannesburg and leave their cars at the Pont Drift border post, or African Bundu Safaris can fly you to the Mashatu Game Reserve for a great wildlife safari lodge holiday. Mashatu Game Reserve is a wholly preserved and untainted wilderness in eastern Botswana, at the confluence of the Limpopo and Shashe Rivers. The ample plains range from savannah, to riverine forests, marshland, and sandstone outcrops. As one of the largest private game reserve in southern Africa, Mashatu is, at 25 000 ha (75 000 acres), a fitting setting for the world’s largest land mammal (the elephant) - with the largest herds on privately owned land on earth.
The Northern Tuli Game Reserve is a true haven for wildlife, which together with the stunning scenery, fascinating history and relaxing lodge grounds makes Tuli unique. There are 48 large mammal species present in the reserve, totaling approximately twenty thousand animals, which include elephant, fifteen large herbivore species and four cat species to mention but a few.
